So everyone loves eating a banana. You peel it and savor its sweet, yummy taste. You finish eating, look for the nearest bin and toss the peel away, right?
Wrong!
That peel you just threw away has a lot of uses!
Whitens teeth
Banana peels are rich in magnesium, potassium, and manganese which help whiten the tooth enamel.
Simply rub the inside of the peel on your teeth for a minute. You will surely notice your teeth shine.
Reduces acne
Massage the inside of peel gently on your face for few minutes before rinsing it off. It will help lessen any redness due to pimples and aid in curing your acne altogether.
Treats dry skin
In case you have overly dry skin, or worse still, psoriasis, massage a banana peel on the affected areas gently, at least twice a day. Your dry, scaly skin will become softer and smoother within a few days.
Soothes itch
Bug bites can be quite irritating (literally!). Rub the inside of the banana peels on the itch or even rashes to sooth them.
However if you are bitten by any dangerous insect, although rubbing the peel will provide temporary relief, be sure to seek medical advice.
Cures wart
Rub a peel on a wart gently regularly for at least two weeks or until the wart is gone.
Heals bruises and lightens scars
Rubbing banana peel on a bruise will help it lighten and then disappear. It can also lighten, if not completely efface your scars.
With so many benefits from the banana peel, benefits that you’re probably missing out on, you will surely think twice before the next time you are about to toss that peel away!
