Natural Remedies to Get Rid of Dandruff

Are you worried about seeing pesky white flakes in your hair?

Aren’t you sure of how to get rid of them?

Don’t worry then. Here we have assembled some effective DIY remedies that will help you cure dandruff for good.

1.     Apple Cider Vinegar

The acidity of apple cider vinegar changes the pH level of your scalp, making it hard for dandruff-causing yeast to grow.

All you need to do is mix a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar with a quarter cup of water in a spray bottle. Mix well and spray the mixture into your scalp. Wrap your head in a towel for 15 minutes to an hour. Wash your hair as usual.

Do this twice a week to see the desired result.

2.     Baking Soda

Baking soda gently scrubs and exfoliates your scalp, without causing irritation. It also ensures that there is no build-up of flakes, soothing your itchy scalp all the while.

How to use baking soda to treat dandruff? Well, simply add some baking soda into your shampoo while washing your hair.

3.     Coconut Oil

One of the tried and tested remedies for curing dandruff is coconut oil. Before taking a shower, massage 4 to 5 tablespoons of coconut oil into your scalp. Let it sit for about an hour or an overnight. Wash your hair as usual, by shampooing and conditioning.

In a span of week or two, you will see no signs of dandruff.

4.     Lemons

Like apple cider vinegar, lemons’ acidity balances the pH level of your scalp to help with dandruff.

Simply massage two tablespoons of lemon juice into your scalp and rinse with water. Do this daily to get rid of dandruff permanently.
