Blackheads can be a nuisance. These annoying little spots are hard to remove and seem to stay forever if not treated properly. They mostly form where excess oil clogs up the pores on your face, usually around your lips and nose area. Thankfully, there are a number of ways to remove them and prevent them from coming back.

Before you fix an appointment with your beautician to help you get rid of your blackheads, try these DIY blackhead masks and see the amazing results for yourself.

DIY Masks to Remove Blackheads

Lemon and Egg White Mask

What You Need

  • The white portion of an egg
  • 1 spoonful of lemon juice (lime juice will also work fine)
  • A small bowl
  • Tissue papers

Method

Take a small bowl and separate the egg white in it. Add a tablespoon of lemon or lime juice in it and mix well. Apply this mixture to the affected area and gently press a piece of tissue paper over it. Dab some more egg white mixture on the tissue paper and let it dry. You can even add two to three layers of tissue papers.

Alternatively, simply wait and let the first layer of egg white dry completely before dabbing on the second layer. In this way, you can skip the tissue paper. Once all the layers are completely dry, peel them slowly to get the best results.

Milk and Honey Mask

What you need

  • 1 spoonful of milk
  • 1 spoonful of honey
  • A small bowl

Method

In a small bowl, mix equal amounts of raw milk and honey (1 tbsp should be enough for nose area). Apply the mixture to your blackheads and let it dry for 10 – 15 minutes. It hardens once it is completely dry so you can peel it off easily.

Use these masks regularly (once every two weeks) to see the amazing results but don’t use these concoctions too often as they may dry up your skin. Also, don’t forget to dab a little lemon juice on your pores after applying these masks to close them up.

Keep enjoying your blackhead-free skin!
