Therefore, it is generally advised to drink lots of water but when it comes to the hot summer days, the need for water becomes twice and it becomes vital for you to drink more water than you normally would.

2. Lighten Up Your Skin Care Regimen

Store away all of your heavy creams and moisturizers and start using light-weight serums and gels for soft and supple skin.

3. Protect Your Skin with Sunscreen

Whenever you step out in the sun, make sure that you have properly applied SPF sunscreen on your face and exposed body parts. This will protect your skin from getting damaged by the harmful ultraviolet rays.

4. Exfoliate Your Skin

2. Drink Caffeine

Having one or two cups of tea or coffee during summer is fine but drinking more than that can be detrimental to your skin. It can dehydrate your skin, making it look dry and unhealthy.  Since our skin needs moisture to stay healthy, it is better to avoid the intake of too much caffeine.

3. Shower in Hot Water

As we all know that heat can easily dehydrate the skin, it is better to avoid hot showers or baths in the warmer months. It is more appropriate to have cold water showers as it not only helps in retaining the skin moisture but also freshens it up like never before.

4. Use a Tanning Bed

No matter how much you are tempted to kick-start the summer season by getting a body tan, it is suggested to avoid tanning beds. Don’t compromise your skin’s health by baking it in a tanning bed. What you can do instead is to invest in a good quality faux tanner and apply it daily for the best result.
