We always stress the importance of a good skin care routine, no matter what your skin type. It takes a lot of time and effort to maintain radiant, healthy skin – we know and completely understand. That’s why we created two helpful infographics to get you started in the morning and at night.

Your Morning Skincare Routine

Cleanser: Everybody loves to follow the latest Korean skincare fads, and they start their morning routine by cleansing with water. We recommend that you use a gentle cleanser in the morning. It should address your skin type and even skin concerns.

Toner: A gentle toner is great at removing trace dirt and grime. Apply your toner after you cleanse – you can also apply it over your makeup to help set the makeup and for a natural glow. We love and highly recommend Amore Lee’s Facial Mist, which acts as a toner, makeup-setter and perfume. You can buy yours here.

Face Serum: Not everyone uses a face serum, so this step is optional. Face serums penetrate deep in the skin and are great for people who want to treat specific skin conditions, such as hyperpigmentation, acne, dry skin, redness, etc.

Moisturizer: This step should never be optional. Always apply moisturizer in your skincare routine. Again, it’s beneficial to buy a moisturizer that’s specific to your skin type or ingredients that address other skin concerns.

Sunscreen: UV rays are no joke. You need sunscreen. We suggest natural brands that avoid harmful chemicals and go on smooth.

Your Nighttime Skincare Routine

Micellar Water: To remove makeup properly, use micellar water over makeup wipes. Some people also use oils, like coconut oil to effectively and naturally remove their makeup.

Cleanse with Brush and Silicone Facial Device: When you cleanse, why use your hands when you can use a device that better removes the hard-to-get dirt and grime, dead skin cells,  and excess makeup? You can try a product like PMD Facial Device or a cheaper alternative. There are plenty on the market.

Toner / Facial Mist: Again, it’s good to apply a toner after you cleanse. If you use a facial device, a toner isn’t completely necessary.

Topical Serum: If you apply a serum in the morning, it’s not necessary to apply again at night (unless instructed by the product). Just remember to apply at the same time everyday for maximum results.

Eye Cream / Eye Gel: If you don’t have an eye cream in your skin routine, read the benefits of having one.

Night Cream: It’s great how nighttime creams work in tandem with our body’s restoration process as we sleep. A night cream is different than the moisturizer you apply, so don’t use that in place of a night cream. Night creams sooth, hydrate and makes skin look supple. It’s an underrated anti-aging technique, in our opinion.

Facial Massage Tool: Also optional, but highly beneficial and recommended. A facial massage tool is a handy device, as it stimulates blood circulation, massages your lymphatic system, and if nothing else, massages the above products deeper into your skin for a more effective treatment.
