College Eating: Vegan Meals for Dorm Life

Dorm life is the best time of your life! There’s so much to do, but so little time; with getting the grades and having the right social life, you’re being pulled everywhere. That’s why food should be the least of your worries.

If you’re vegan – or not – we’ve got some healthy dorm room vegan meals for you to whip up in your room. You’ll be saving up, eating healthy and be on top of your game!

Coconut Maple Coffee

Up your coffee game with this delicious recipe. Brew some organic coffee; add some coconut milk, and a tablespoon of maple syrup.

You’ll never go back to the old creamer and brew again!

Quickie Oatmeal

If you’re always in a hurry, try soaking oats overnight in a cup or water or almond/coconut/soy milk. Before heading out the door for class, top the oatmeal with dried cherries, berries, bananas; some dark chocolate and a handful of nuts!

Old School Porridge

Cook oats in the microwave with some soy milk. When warm, mash a banana and add in some nut butter. Top with frozen fruit, caramelized nuts or some chocolate chips.

Dessert for breakfast is just the best, am I right?

Veggie Wraps

Grab a soft tortilla; load it up with some sliced avocado, cabbage, kale, sundried tomato and some dairy free cream cheese. You can add organic pesto or hummus too!

And you can get some vegan salsa from your local vegan eatery and pair it up with the wrap!

College life is when you’re growing and learning things on your own. Preparing your vegan meals in advance can save you tons of time, and you should get creative with some vegan cookbooks for students!
