1. Oil based cleanser
What are oil based cleansers? Oil-based cleansers are used to remove oil-based impurities, including sebum, sunscreen and makeup. It is a water-based cleanser that can be either foaming or non-foaming, it is used to remove water-based impurities, including sweat and dirt. Oil based cleansers are the new it thing, these cleansers help in removing all the makeup and dirt that is stuck to your face, while making sure that the skin stays moisturized.
2. Toner
A toner is used after washing your face, and before using a serum or moisturizer (we’ll get to that later) Toners can be used twice daily after cleansing, as long as your skin can tolerate the formulation. All types of skins; oily, dry, sensitive —can benefit from a toner. One should use a toner after washing their face, and before using a serum or moisturizer. Yes, one should apply a toner followed by a moisturizer after using a cleansing foam. To lock in moisture and hydration apply a moisturizer after applying the toner.
3. Serum
What does a face serum do? It stimulates cell growth and brings new skin cells to the surface, while brightening your face as well. It boosts production of collagen, which is the main ingredient in keeping your skin wrinkle-free and young. Serums should be applied twice daily. They are the first products that should be applied to the skin after cleansing and toning. Face serums are lightweight moisturizers that penetrate deeper to deliver active ingredients into your skin. When used regularly, a face serum can brighten a dull complexion and leave you with healthier skin.
4. Sheet mask
The main question that we are asked is that do these sheet masks actually work? The idea behind sheet masks is pretty simple. They’re designed to seal in skin care ingredients so that they don’t have a chance to evaporate into thin air. Typically, sheet masks are to be worn for about 10 to 20 minutes for maximum benefits. Sheet masks are applied to a clean, freshly-cleansed face, and once the mask is removed, you simply rub rest of the serum from the sheet mask into your face. There’s no need to rinse, but for more hydration you may want to finish with a night cream.
5. Night cream
Night cream supplies moisture to the dry parts of our face. Hence, our face is kept hydrated. Night creams also ensures that your skin has an even complexion and a finer skin texture. Your night cream boosts collagen into your skin. You could, theoretically, use a night cream during the day. But, if you are planning on leaving the house, it is essential that you put on a moisturizer with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15. Night creams are also formulated to help hydrate the skin while you sleep.
