Healthy Lunch Ideas for Your Office

Stuck in a 9-5 routine? Are you running short on time? Whatever it may be, the one problem with working for long periods of time is gaining weight. It is quite likely for you to gain weight, especially if you work in an office, because you spend much of your time sitting at your desk. That means too little exercise and too much calorie consumption.

You don’t have to fret over this anymore! Below are some quick-to-make, budget-friendly lunch ideas for your office that will maintain your calorie count without torturing your taste-buds.

Ground Beef Taco Bowl

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • ½ onion, diced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • Salsa
  • Avocados, sliced
  • 2 cups cauliflower rice
  • Cabbage
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Cook the beef in a large saucepan, add salsa and sprinkle taco seasoning.
  2. Cook the cauliflower rice in another skillet and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In another pan, drizzle some oil and toss in the veggies to cook until they soften.
  4. Combine all the ingredients and you have a yummy, healthy lunch!

Veggie Wraps

  • 3 large tortilla bread pieces
  • A handful of lettuce
  • 6 carrots, sliced
  • 6 tomatoes, cubed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 pieces chicken strips


  1. Drizzle olive oil in a pan and fry the chicken. Season it with salt and pepper.
  2. Place two lettuce leaves, 3 long slices of carrots, cubed tomatoes and onions on each of the tortilla bread.
  3. Place the slightly fried chicken strips on the bread and add a slice of cheese as per your preference.
  4. Roll the bread and enjoy your wrap at work!
