Top 5 Recipes for Your Keto Diet Plan

A Ketogenic diet is formed on some basic principles; Lots of fat, moderate amounts of protein, too much veggies, and very small amounts of carbohydrates. It’s definitely a much different food pyramid most of us are used to, but don’t worry, nearly everyone on the keto journey felt same when they started.

1. Spinach Quiche

     Ingredients:
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 pack chopped spinach
  • 1½ cups shredded raw cheese
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Directions: Heat the coconut oil in a pan and add onions into a saucepan until the onions become soft. Add spinach and cook until it is slightly dry. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, cheese, salt, and pepper. Add spinach to this mixture and blend. Pour into a pan and bake for 30 minutes.

2. Baba Ganoush

      Ingredients:
  • 1 regular sized eggplant
  • 1 cup tahini
  • 1 cup parsley
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste

Directions: Lay out the eggplant slices on a baking pan. Season the eggplant slices, and allow eggplant to sit for 15–20 minutes to remove moisture. Place eggplant in a food processor until the eggplant turns to a mush. Add all the remaining ingredients in the food processor and blend until well combined

3. Jalapeno poppers

     Ingredients:
  • 10 jalapeño peppers, seeds removed
  • 1 cup goat feta
  • 1 cup shredded goat cheese
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Sea salt and pepper to taste

Directions: Preheat oven at 350F. Take a medium-sized bowl, add everything except the jalapeños, and mix until well combined. Fill each halved jalapeño with the cheese mixture. Bake for at least 20 minutes.

4. Salad in a Jar

     Ingredients:
  • 4 oz. smoked salmon
  • 1⁄6 oz. cherry tomatoes
  • 1⁄6 oz. red bell peppers
  • 1⁄6 oz. lettuce and spinach
  • 1⁄6 oz. cucumber
  • ½ scallion
  • Olive oil

Directions: Chop up vegetables of your choice. Put lettuce or spinach at the base of the jar; add diced onions, carrot, avocado, bell peppers, and tomato in layers. Olives and cheese cubes are great flavorful additions to the salad too. Place the salmon slices on top and drizzle a little bit of oil.

5. Coconut booster

     Ingredients:
  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Directions: Mix up all ingredients together in a bowl. Spoon into muffin tin and freeze for an hour. Top it with extra coconut flakes if desired.
